When a tooth is missing,
the body adapts.
But that adaptation comes at a cost.

  • Difficulty chewing on the side where the tooth is missing
  • The neighbouring teeth tilt into the gap
  • The bone in that area loses volume over the years
  • The bite becomes unbalanced and overloads the other side

What we do

The treatments.

Fixed Teeth

Fixed implant-supported rehabilitation, for people who have lost several or all of their teeth.

The implant replaces the root that was lost. The crown, made to fit your mouth, sits on top of it. Unlike a bridge, it does not require the neighbouring teeth to be ground down to hold it in place, and because the artificial root keeps stimulating the bone, bone loss is halted.

Immediate Implants

The implant is placed at the same time as the extraction, when the case allows.

It avoids a second surgery and shortens the overall treatment time. It is only possible when the surrounding bone and gum offer the right conditions, which is confirmed on the CBCT scan before any decision is made.

Teeth in One Day

You leave the clinic with temporary fixed teeth on the very day of surgery.

The final prosthesis comes later, once the implant has integrated with the bone, but you do not go through the integration period without teeth. It is the solution that makes the biggest difference to daily life for people who have lost many teeth.

“Semi-Fixed” Prosthesis

An overdenture, or Locator-retained denture, is an excellent option if you have lost all your teeth. It can replace a removable denture that often no longer holds well, because over time the gums and bone shrink and are no longer able to support a denture.

In a first stage, 2 to 4 implants are placed and fitted with Locators: very strong spring-like attachments that hold the removable denture so securely that, while it is in place, it will feel as if it were fixed.

Frequently asked questions.

Does an implant hurt?

No. It is placed under local anaesthetic, and most patients describe the recovery as more comfortable than an extraction.

How long does the full treatment take?

It depends on the case and on the quality of the bone. A few months usually pass between placing the implant and fitting the final crown: the time the implant needs to integrate with the bone. The plan you receive gives the estimated timeframe for your situation.

I don’t have much bone. Can I still have implants?

Often, yes. A CBCT scan shows the available bone volume in three dimensions and helps us see whether bone needs to be regenerated first, or whether there is an alternative. That is what the assessment is for.

How much does a dental implant cost?

It depends on the number of implants, the type of crown and whether or not bone regeneration is needed. That is why we don’t publish a fixed price: it would be wrong for most people. At the assessment you receive a written quote for your case.
